Richard Smith lantern clock

Lantern clock signed 'Ricardus Smith de Novo Castro Fecit', the only clock so far recorded by this maker, one of the very first to work in Newcastle on Tyne where he married in 1656 and died in 1681. Converted to English single fusee movement c.1900.
