Unusual seatboard system

The seatboard system, original to the clock, is very unusual. A small trestle type of 'table' sits on top of the flat finishing timbers, and the movement bolts to this 'table', so that the whole clock-with-seatboard can be lifted out in one. This system was used particularly, though not exclusively, in the old West Riding of Yorkshire.
