winged lantern clock made in the 1680s by Joseph Windmills of London

Uniquely early, large and very rare English lantern clock (17 1/2 inches) made about 1610, unsigned, with re-instated balance wheel escapement. above - movement; below shown on left, with clock by Thomas Milles on right. SOLD
